About Us

We are a unique resource centre for trusted mental health activities. We're a small business based in Lancashire, but our resources are used all across the UK.

We're changing the future of mental health

We're living in a time where we have the knowledge and tools to change the future of mental health. Yet, as a society, we're not doing enough. Wait times for support are getting longer and longer, more children are on antidepressants than ever in recorded history, and living through repeated lockdowns has left our primary age children struggling more than any other age group. So what can we do? We believe that teaching children the tools and techniques to manage their mental health from an early age, will actually help to prevent the 1 in 4 adults who currently experience mental ill health in any given year.

Did you know that 50% of mental health disorders are diagnosable by age 14?

Our aim is to help teachers and parents who aren't mental health professionals to feel comfortable talking about mental health with children in their care.

Our resources are made by experts in wellbeing and people who are trained in and have lived experience of children's mental health. Plus our free guides and support based resources are signed off for use and come recommended by our clinical psychologist.

Resources you can trust

Our Origins

The Be Happy Hub was launched in September 2021 to help parents, teachers, carers and professionals access wellbeing resources for young children at an affordable cost. Since then, we have partnered with local councils, the NHS, charities and more to help children across the UK - and even further afield - feel calm and supported.

We focus on bringing fun, creative activities and worksheets that calm, improve self esteem, boost confidence and resilience and inspire positive thinking. We do this by taking tried and tested tools and techniques that already exist and adapting them to be fun and interactive.

About our Founder

Be Happy Resources was set up in 2020 by Jenny Chesworth. In 2017, Jenny lost her job due to anxiety which she had experienced since she was a child. Picking herself up, Jenny went to therapy and got a job for a small, local mental health advocacy charity, where she trained in mental health and found her true calling. In 2020, Jenny's son started displaying the same anxious symptoms she had started with 30 years before, so, using her knowledge and experience, she began creating resources to help him. Soon, they had created over 150 resources - which launched as the Be Happy Hub in 2021. Now, the Hub has over 700 tried and tested activities, thousands of members, and helps children and adults learn about mental health and manage their wellbeing every single day.
